I wanted to give you a few little tips to make the holiday season extra special! I am grateful that it's a wonderful experience being with my family over the holidays, but for some of you that may not be the case or maybe you're spending the holiday alone. This could mean lots of emotions or challenges with food!
Regardless of what you're doing for the next couple of weeks. Here are a few tips to keep you full of peace and joy this holiday season:
1. Every morning before you get out of bed, remind yourself what you are grateful for.
2. Think of something to compliment about every person you come across. It could be something physical or it could be their personality, their graciousness, or a strength of theirs. If you remember even do this for the checker at the grocery store! You can say it out loud (which is most powerful) or just keep the thought to yourself.
3. Before you go see your family, think about what you love about each of your relatives, even the difficult ones!
