Doesn’t it seem like life just continues to get a little busier? It seems that as time goes on we are expected to do more and more in a shorter amount of time. I mean just think, our smart phones and computers never seem fast enough.
With everything we are expected to do and our growing to-do lists it seems we always have to sacrifice this and that or say no to something we want to do for ourselves. For many of us the first thing that goes is our sleep, our meditation, our exercise, or our meal planning because there are “more important things to do”. While this might seem like the only way out, when we don’t take care of ourselves we become less efficient, less productive, and more stressed.
Just think about it, when we don’t feel good about ourselves in the morning, how often does that make us feel terrible the rest of the day? When you don’t sleep, exercise, or eat foods that energize you, you can’t avoid being cranky!! How do you think that makes your day go? The people in your life sure aren’t going out of their way to be around you! While we can go on, the point is that it’s important to take care of your health and wellbeing first. Before anything else! We know it’s not always easy to remember! So here is a mantra for you to take with you: Put it on your mirror, your computer desktop, set it as a phone reminder:
I care deeply about my own happiness and satisfaction and I always prioritize my own wellbeing.
Take this mantra with you and take care of yourself because you deserve to radiate love, beauty and happiness! Find the time to take care of yourself, even if it’s not as much as you could be, something is always better than nothing!
