Oxygen plays a vital role in every single metabolic system in our bodies.
To put it simply, healthy cells in our bodies are aerobic (meaning requires oxygen) and unhealthy cells are typically anaerobic (meaning requires a lack of oxygen). These unhealthy anaerobic cells can cause sickness, disease and even cancer within us. This is why it is so important to increase our daily intake of oxygen! Unfortunately, this doesn't just mean taking in big gusts of air on your next walk through the park.
One of the most powerful sources of oxygen is found in chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is a chemical compound in plants that is responsible for photosynthesis, which is the absorption of sunlight into energy. It is also the reason plants have their vibrant green pigment.
So what does any of this have to do with us?
Well, the cellular structure in chlorophyll is almost identical to hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is the protein molecule in our red blood cells, that carries oxygen throughout our body, giving us lots of energy and radiant health! By increasing the oxygen content in our red blood cells, we boost our immunity, slow our aging process, detoxify our bodies, and significantly reduce our risk of cancer and disease!
The best part is that increasing our oxygen uptake is super simple!
How to simply add chlorophyll + boost your oxygen uptake:
- Eat more leafy green.
- Add a green juice to your daily diet. (Try to add no fruit or minimal amounts to your juice.)
- Add liquid chlorophyll to your water. This is my personal favorite! I carry it with me everywhere and try to add drops to every glass of water I have. The liquid chlorophyll I use is concentrated from stinging nettle and tastes like absolutely nothing when diluted in a glass of water. See the kind I use here.
