A fresh new slate is upon us and with it the declarations of resolutions, intentions, goals and aspirations are blasting from every roof top and all over the web. The new year allows us an opportunity to reflect on our lives and begin imagining the creation of our futures. It's a beautiful gift, but sometimes I wonder if we lose sight of a very key ingredient:
What about appreciating the light that we've already created?
What about acknowledging all our accomplishments?
What about appreciating ourselves just the way we are?
This past year has been a wild ride and I invite you to take a moment to pat yourself on the back and praise yourself for all that you've done...the little moments of kindness, that time you made a friend laugh, that thing that totally scared you but you did it anyways, the adventure you took, the new people you met, the moments you made yourself smile, the little steps you've taken towards your long-term goals. Anything counts and everything goes. The best part about this exercise is this:
Wherever you are, you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
How to believe you can do anything:
Write down at least 10 proud moments from 2014.
Pin the list up where you can see it everyday.
Remember, you are brilliant, gorgeous, talented and unique. There is no one in the world like you.
