We know it's getting colder these days and pretty soon outdoor workouts aren't going to be appealing (okay, maybe not for us here in California), but we wanted share with you another amazing workout no gym or equipment necessary! This is part 1 of our no gym required exercise routine for the holiday season. For this routine, all you need is a bench, could be outdoors, indoors, just make sure it's secure!
First thing to do is get your heart rate up so you burn more calories, faster! The best way to do that is to work the biggest muscle in your body, your legs. Start the routine with bench step-ups! Step up with your left foot, repeat 15 times. Then switch to your right for 15 more.
Next move is arm dips, repeat 15 times. This exercise is perfect for toning up your triceps.
Now do some side planks. Working your core and your obliques as you twist. Repeat 15 times each side.
Now that you've had a little time to rest it's time to kick it up a notch again and raise your heart rate to get your metabolism fired up! Try 15 jump-ups (if you don't feel safe, go back to the step-ups (the first exercise).
Keep burnin' baby!! You'll complete this circuit with two sets of core exercises. Start with planks and then V-ups. Both target the core area to build major strength and balance!
Our recommendation is to repeat the whole circuit twice! If you've got more energy than that, try it three times!
